Contact Lens Info - Types

Contact lens info -

I almost fainted when I went to the optometrist !!!! "Exactly what contact lens type do you want?" Can you believe it?

The optometrist asked me what type?
I only asked him if he thinks I would be able to adjust to contact lenses and he asked... "What type??!!"

eye check up

Not believing that there is more than one type of contact lens, I asked him to explain it to me. So he explained that there are lenses for all kinds of vision problems, like nearsightedness, farsightedness, astigmatism and other conditions. He told me that there are lenses you can leave in for a long time and others that you can change every day and even others that you can use once in a while for special things (like changing your eye color or special effects).

I think that this might really be the reason that I got so involved in learning about contact lenses and why writing this guide is important. There are so many questions and aspects of contact lens types, and having it set down clearly (in language you can understand) really helps.

I discovered that with modern technology, today you can suit your contact lens to your own special needs with a custom lens that is adapted just for your eyesight.

This is a list of interesting topics I covered in this section of contact lens types:
